Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 12 Draw the Mouth
The iconic wolf is a symbol of cunning and fear, but also of intelligence, teamwork and wild freedom. We are going to be drawing an easy wolf so we are going to focus on the head of the wolf only, we’ll leave it up to you to shade or colour it in as you please. You may even want to draw in the body itself after we have got you started!
All you will need is a pencil and sketching paper.

Wolf Drawing Easy – Step 1 Draw the Head
In the centre of your page draw the shape of the wolf’s head as shown in the picture. Think of it as a flower pot shape but furry! Make sure it is as symmetrical as possible, and nicely placed in the middle of your page.
How to Draw a Wolf Easy Tutorial – Step 2 Draw the Left Ear
Now you are going to draw the outline of the wolf’s left ear, as the picture shows. Draw a loose triangle shape beginning at the left side of the head and moving downwards until the ear finishes roughly one third down the left hand side of the head. When we draw the eyes in they will start roughly level with the end of the ear.
How to Draw a Wolf Easy Tutorial – Step 3 Draw the Inside of the Left Ear
At this point you can draw in another triangle outline inside the ear to show the tip of the ear. You can also draw a squiggly line halfway down the ear, splitting it in half and showing the wolf’s fur.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 4 Draw the Right Ear
Repeat Step 2 but the other way around to draw the outline of the right ear. Make sure you finish the outline of the ear in line with the end of the left ear.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 5 Draw the Inside of the Right Ear
Repeat Step 3 but again the other way around to complete the inside of the right ear. Use the pictures and video to help.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 6 Draw the Fur Between the Ears
You can now draw a squiggly line for the fur between the wolf’s ears at the top of its head.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 7 Draw the Left Eye
Starting roughly in line with the bottom of the left ear, you are now going to draw the wolf’s left eye which is roughly oval shaped, as shown in the picture. Draw in the pupil as shown in the picture as well.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 8 Draw the Right Eye
Now repeat the same thing for the right eye so they are symmetrical and a mirror image of each other.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 9 Draw the Beginning of the Snout
Underneath the eyes draw two stretched out semi-circular lines to form the snout, as the picture shows.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 10 Draw the Nose
Now you can draw the nose at the end of the wolf’s snout as a rough circle with two holes for the nostrils.
Wolf Drawing Easy Tutorial – Step 11 Finish off the Snout
Draw the rest of the snout as an upside down semi-circle which finishes just under the nose as shown.
How to Draw a Wolf Easy Tutorial – Step 12 Draw in the Mouth
Now draw in the mouth under the snout as a smaller, neater upside down semi-circle, as show in the picture.
You can now choose to go back and shade in your wolf in greater detail or even colour it in if you wish. The inside of the ears will be lighter, as will the eyes, and the paler patches around the eyes. Grey wolves usually have whitish fur halfway down the head stretching down to their chest fur, and on the underside of their muzzles.
The nose and line of the mouth will be darker with the fur overall being quite a dark grey (unless you want your wolf to have a completely black mane).
